A customer was doing a renovation and wanted a solid wood piece to accent the ledge of a passthrough area.
We obtained the measurements and the hubby found the perfect piece of raw wood to use for the project.
This wood was obtained from a neighbor. He needed to remove an oak tree to make room for a driveway and kindly gave us the logs harvested from that tree. It was cut into slabs and dried in our solar kiln prior to being chosen for this project.
The slab was cut to the proper size and sanded.
Wood conditioner was applied to bring out the natural beauty of the piece. A polyurethane sealant was applied to add durability and a bit of shine.
The hubby installed the piece in the customer's home. The entire renovation was beautiful and we are so happy to have played our small part in creating it!
