Our Dexter cattle are raised with intention, care, and respect for the land. At Growing Roots Farm, we use rotational grazing practices that allow our pastures time to rest and recover, improving soil health while providing our cattle with fresh, nutrient-dense forage throughout the grazing season. This thoughtful approach supports animal well-being while strengthening long-term land stewardship.
Our Dexter beef is 100% grass-fed and grass-finished, pasture-raised, and never given added hormones or routine antibiotics. Dexter cattle are a heritage breed known for their smaller frame, efficient grazing habits, and naturally well-marbled beef. The result is clean, flavorful beef with a tender texture—raised in a system that works with nature rather than against it.
All Dexter beef products are processed under USDA inspection at Oxbow Meats in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, then frozen and vacuum sealed to preserve freshness and quality from the moment they leave the processor.
This collection features a variety of Dexter beef cuts, offering versatile options for everyday meals while supporting a local, regenerative food system.
Available through on-farm pickup, farmers markets, and local drop locations, our Dexter beef represents a transparent connection between farmer, land, and table.
