Stocking stuffers can be fun or simply another thing to add to the list of items to complete before Christmas day. I prefer to include items that we will use and not things that will be broken and in the trashcan by the end of Christmas day. For the last few years, a component of our stockings includes personal care items from Metz Sugar Scrubs & Natural Care Products (@metzsugarscrubs on Facebook).
Metz Sugar Scrubs is a small family business that make wonderful, natural personal care items. Here are just a few of our favorites:
My recently-turned teenager uses the Himalayan Pink Salt Facial Scrub to maintain a clean and clear face. He adds the activated charcoal.
My other son prefers their signature Sugar Scrub. We have tried a variety of scents but he continues to go back to his favorite, Root Beer. I love the scent of the bathroom after he has showered!
All of my men find the lip balm to be masculine enough to prevent chapped lips. We have stuck with the unscented ones, but we may branch out soon to try some other kinds.
My daughters have a few favorite items. They love the lip gloss and regularly carry them around in their purses.
Another favorite is the bath dust. They come with cool names, relaxing scents and can turn the bath water a fun color (without staining).
And now for my favorite item! I cannot thank Metz Sugar Scrubs enough for their help on this one. Several years ago, a family member was diagnosed with breast cancer. This made me re-evaluate my choices in underarm odor protection. I changed from antiperspirant to natural deodorant and found few that I liked and even fewer that were reasonably priced. I approached the owner and asked if they had considered making a deodorant. She did extensive research, experimentation and developed a great product. I love using her natural deodorant cream. It comes in a tin, and you simply rub it on. My favorite scent is the lavender, but they have several options.
They make cleaning products and other items but those listed above are our favorites and have hung from our mantle several Christmas mornings.
