A customer requested a custom gift for a horse-lover. The sign was made from an ash tree felled from our small Kentucky homestead. The wood was cut, planed and cut to the specified shape of a horse’s head.
The sign was sanded, and a wood conditioner was applied to bring out the beauty of the wood grain. A water-based polyurethane was added to give the item more durability.
The customer wanted it intentionally left blank for the rustic feel. I bet it looked great on the wall!
